Phaseolus vulgaris var. vulgaris
Yielding variety with decorative, white-reddish spotted, kidney-shaped seeds.
The young pods are easy to prepare green and have a slightly sweet taste. The half-ripe kernels are also a pleasure and can be prepared very quickly when they are soft. If you let the pods fully ripen, the beautiful dry kernels can be easily removed and stored for a long time for later processing. The variety is very similar to the bush bean “Jacobs Cattle”, which was also awarded by Slow Food, but is significantly more productive as a runner bean.
